Cooking up summer fun at Rockland BOCES

Young chefs explored the art of cooking this summer during the Rockland BOCES Culinary Camp For Kids! Lead by Culinary Arts instructor Kendell Brenner, campers learned essential kitchen skills, mastered the fundamentals of cooking and baking and prepared various dishes daily. In addition to learning all the culinary techniques in the kitchen, from knife skills to plating presentation, kids found out about healthy living, sustainable cooking and more! Campers returned home (and, to school) with a new sense of culinary confidence and the ability to make such dishes as pasta primavera, chicken piccata, baked salmon, summer peach cobbler, fondant cake and zesty lemon bars.
