The Rockland BOCES 2016-17 Administrative Budget was unanimously approved by the county’s component school boards on April 19. The Administrative Budget is $5.13 million, while the agency’s total spending plan amounts to $111,220,282 million.
“We are pleased,” said Rockland BOCES Chief Operating Officer Mary Jean Marsico, Ed.D. “The unanimous vote represents a true collaborative spirit, recognizes our cost-containment efforts, and supports a tightly-crafted budget.”
The $5.13 million Administrative Budget represents a decrease of 1% to component school districts.
Bernard Charles, Jr. (East Ramapo) and Sandi Jeanette (Ramapo Central) were re-elected as BOCES board members, while Wendy Adolff was elected to respresent the Clarkstown Central School District.
Rockland BOCES board members are elected by component board members, not the general public, and serve three-year terms.
The Rockland BOCES board represents its components, with members from each component school district served. Our component districts Clarkstown, East Ramapo, Haverstraw-Stony Point, Nanuet, Nyack, Pearl River, Ramapo Central and South Orangetown.
